We understand that psychiatric and behavioral care needs to be accessible, comprehensive, and individualized. At Koinonia, we have the resources and expertise needed to manage the complexities of psychiatric and behavioral care.
At Koinonia Enterprises, we offer facility-based programs such as adult day services, vocational habilitation services, community programming, in-home programming, and virtual programming.
Shared living enables individuals to receive continuous care while living with a nurturing family. Cared for by thoroughly trained providers, the individuals get to be a part of a community that is flexible and personalized to their needs.
A positive, comfortable environment is what makes a house a home. In our group homes, individuals become active, decisive participants in small households of five to eight people. They benefit from the 24-hour support our staff provides in each of our homes, located in residential neighborhoods throughout Northeast Ohio.
Our supported living services focus on each individual’s specific necessities and preferences, whether they need drop-in support or 24-hour assistance. Individuals choose where to live and assert responsibility by paying their living expenses.
Koinonia’s new youth housing model offers short-term respite and longer-term care (up to six months) for children with both IDD and behavioral concerns. Children in the program live in a home environment where they are cared for by a single set of live-in “house parents.”
Koinonia’s respite care services offer provisional assistance for families and unpaid providers in need of planned respite and emergency placements for their loved ones. Our compassionate staff provide 24/7 supervision in an accessible and comfortable environment.
The only program of its kind in Ohio, the Compass Pathfinder Program partners with school districts and county boards of developmental disabilities to leverage Koinonia’s extensive expertise to improve graduation and employment rates among students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
We proudly offer safe and reliable non-medical transportation for people who have developmental disabilities and other complex medical conditions. We follow COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all passengers, including cleaning and disinfecting between each route and at the end of each day.
