From the beginning of this global crisis, our staff have all stepped out and rallied together to continue to provide the care and support our individuals need. We are proud of all of their efforts and appreciate their flexibility as we continue to navigate our way during these uncertain times.
Join us in celebrating our first #KoinoniaAppreciationWeek, where we recognize all the hard work and dedication from our staff during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This week, we will be highlighting our KE and Transportation staff. When COVID-19 hit Ohio, our KE locations closed until further notice. Our KE staff were transferred, and they went on to provide day services in our residential homes. Throughout the week, we will be sharing stories from their house supervisors who wanted to thank them for all they are doing for their individuals!
“I would like to share something about a KE staff. She has been working here at the site as her calamity assignment during this COVID-19 pandemic. She misses her individuals at KE but has been very excited to be doing activities with individuals here. AT KE she does exercise ,beauty shop, reading and a lot of other things to help with learning to navigate the community. Here, she makes sure everyone is up and ready to participate in the activities provided by KE on the computer. Some days she was not able to get on the program, but that did not stop her! So she provided her own programs here like she does at KE. She provided reading, current events, exercise and just spent time talking to individuals about what they are thinking, and what is the first thing you are going to do when all this is over! She is motivating them in any way possible and she seems to love every minute of it. Joy is given and also received! I love watching her keep everyone focus, busy, and engaged. We could not have a better staff during this crisis!! And this morning when I arrived, she had the program up and going! what a joy it was here this morning!”
