Coffee Makers, Bath Towels, and Twin Bedding – Those are just some of the items that are needed in the 21 licensed group homes that Koinonia manages. While funding sources may initially purchase these items, it doesn’t replace them when they become broken or worn out.  Now, Koinonia supporters have the opportunity to purchase these much-needed items via our Amazon Wish List.

The Amazon Wish List resembles a wedding gift registry and allows Koinonia to request specific items needed for the group homes. All donations are completely tax-deductible and will be shipped directly to Koinonia’s home office for distribution to the homes. Please note that currently, Amazon does not share purchaser information with us unless the buyer clicks on “this is a gift.” We wish to acknowledge your generous gift, please help us out by clicking on the “gift” box. Amazon hopes to automate this process later this year.

Cheryl Senko, Director of Development for Koinonia, said the wish list is a way for people to see where their donation is going.

“It’s a little more personal than a monetary donation; you can visualize the home and people that will be utilizing the item you purchased, and you can know you are improving their quality of life,” Senko said. “The Koinonia Amazon Wish List helps us bridge the gap between what is needed and available funding, we are very grateful for anyone who purchases an item.”

In addition to the Amazon Wish List, Koinonia also participates in AmazonSmile, a simple and automatic way for people to support Koinonia every time they shop, at no cost to the shopper. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to Koinonia. More on AmazonSmile here:
