Independence, Ohio – August 19, 2019 – Koinonia, the region’s leading provider of day, residential and employment services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), has appointed Susan Chiancone to serve as the chief financial officer (CFO).
Chiancone joins the Koinonia team with robust experience in finance and financial operations. In her role as CFO, Chiancone will serve as the organization’s primary financial steward while working to fulfill its mission to meet each individual with IDD’s needs and personal growth through community participation and integration.

Prior to joining Koinonia, Chiancone was vice president and CFO at Meister Media Worldwide, where she helped grow and reposition the marketing media company within the agricultural industry and expanded the company’s offices to Mexico and China. She held previous executive financial roles with the Snavely Group, Orleans Enterprises and Doppco Development.
Giving back personally and professionally is important to Chiancone. She is a long-time board member for The Littlest Heroes, a non-profit that exists to positively impact the lives of children with cancer and their families. In addition, she serves as a mentor for College Now and to female MBA students at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University. In her spare time, she enjoys golf and is a fitness enthusiast.
