Koinonia Homes is pleased to announce that Cheryl Senko has been promoted to Director of Development and Communications. She will report directly to President & CEO Diane Beastrom, and work closely with the Board of Directors and fundraising committee. She will play an integral role in advancing the mission of Koinonia by developing donor strategies, engaging volunteers, and increasing fundraising opportunities.

Ms. Senko joined Koinonia 3 years ago as Marketing Coordinator with over 15 years of experience in communications, marketing, and civic engagement. Her accomplishments included the redesign of our website, creating engaging social media and outreach campaigns, and management of two external consultants focused on public relations, grants, and strategic planning.

“2017 has been a record fundraising year for Koinonia, generating over $225,000 in grants and donations,” said Diane Beastrom, President and CEO of Koinonia. “Now, more than ever, it is important for us to have a skilled fundraiser who is passionate about serving people who have developmental disabilities. We feel confident that Cheryl will strengthen and expand Koinonia’s development program.”

Ms. Senko graduated Suma cum Laude from Baldwin-Wallace University in 2008, where she earned a dual BA in Communications and Public Relations, with advance emphasis in sociology. She is an active volunteer in her community, leading the effort to raise $30,000 for a new training simulator for the Parma Police force.

Please join me in congratulating Cheryl on her promotion!
