In keeping with the spirit of the season, Huntington Bank and Wagner’s of Westlake have helped make it possible for Koinonia Homes to enhance its celebration of the holidays for those it serves. A charitable organization serving people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Koinonia looks to the corporate community for gifts and contributions in support of its programs and services.  The generosity of these two philanthropic organizations, combined with several area churches, will help hundreds of people enjoy a festive holiday party filled with music, good food, laughter, and fun.

Koinonia and its staff always aspire to make the holidays special, but the $2,500 sponsorship from Huntington Bank enables us to take the party to the elegant Wagner’s of Westlake, and make it a memorable experience for all. And, more than 250 guests will enjoy a lovely dinner menu comprised of appetizers, chicken marsala and chocolate mousse all provided at a 50% discount made possible by the generosity of Wagner’s. The festivities will be topped off with gifts donated by the parishioners of St. Albert’s the Great Church in North Olmsted, St. Michael’s Church in Independence, and St. Therese Church in Garfield Heights.

According to Cheryl Senko, Koinonia’s Marketing Coordinator, “This time of year always brings out the best in our friends and supporters. We are so grateful for this outpouring of kindness and generosity.”  Huntington Bank and Wagner’s are among the corporate and foundation supporters that contribute to Koinonia’s capacity to provide for the needs of adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Please contact Cheryl at (440) 227-8820 or via e-mail Cheryl.Senko@KoinoniaHomes.org if you would like to partner with Koinonia.

The gala will take place on December 14th from 4:30 to 7:00 PM and you can be certain that every guest will be smiling in anticipation of a wonderful time. Who knows, even Santa may make an appearance. What we do know is that we at Koinonia are so very grateful for the opportunity to serve the I/DD community. Happy holidays and best wishes for a happy New Year!
