President & CEO Diane Beastrom was featured by Crain’s Cleveland Business as part of their “Women of Note” award for 2021. The annual award honors a group of women who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to Northeast Ohio.

Diane was recognized for her commitment to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other complex conditions. She emphasized the importance of Koinonia’s whole-person integrated care model, saying “We look at people first as a whole person, not just as someone who is a client in a service setting. What do they need? They want meaningful lives. They want a meaningful day. They want something to do — a job, a day care program. They want to be engaged in the community, and on and on.”

While Diane has overseen significant changes and growth at Koinonia, she credited much of the organization’s expansion and work to a “fantastic board of directors” and the “extraordinary people who dig in and just are committed and do great, great work.”
