Koinonia Chief Quality Officer Diana Rosa was named a 2020 Accidental HR Leader by Crain’s Cleveland Business. Since joining Koinonia in December of 2018, Diana has driven key organizational initiatives that have positioned us for long term growth and success. These initiatives include defining our culture and values in “The Koinonia Way” and spearheading an industry-leading study about the recruitment and retention of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
According to the nomination:
“Diana has created a strategic, data-driven, cross-functional quality and organizational learning team that is defined by their dedication and communication of our mission, culture, and core values, something our CEO called The Koinonia Way. She has created organizational processes and learning opportunities around Care, Support, and Lead, the guiding principles of The Koinonia Way that focus on improving both the outcome of the individuals served and the professional development of our staff. When Koinonia received a grant to conduct a DSP Recruitment and Retention Study, she dove right in and working alongside of Julie Wagner, our Chief of Human Resources, helped us listen in new and meaningful ways to our frontline caregivers and defined strategic initiatives that we could implement to address the huge challenge that DSP turnover creates not only for Koinonia but for our entire industry. Through her use and understanding of data combined with her strategic vision, Diana has helped Koinonia be recognized as an employer of choice while enabling us to thrive and remain competitive.”
Diana, along with the other finalists and winners of the Crain’s Excellence in HR Awards will be honored at a virtual event on August 19th at 11:00 AM.
