The Programs team at Koinonia is pleased to announce that last week we received our 500th Kindness Card nomination. We have reached this milestone less than one-year after officially launching this initiative. To celebrate this, the Programs team decided to recognize our 500th nominee with a special prize for them, a meal for their site, and an individual prize for each of the site’s team members.

The Programs team would like to congratulate Vincent Rice for being our 500th Kindness Card nominee. Thank you, Vincent, for upholding the mission and values of Koinonia each and every day. Vincent has been awarded an individual prize and his team at Independence will receive a site meal. Thank you, Vincent, for upholding the mission and values of Koinonia each and every day.

Vincent was nominated for going above and beyond in his care for an individual at Independence who passed away last week. Vincent received special praise from the family of the individual who passed for the above-and-beyond level of care he provided.

The Programs team would also like to take a moment to recognize all of Vincent’s team at Independence: Katrina Lewis, Lonnett Minter, Joel Reikowsky, Isaiah Brown, Amari Searcy, Ciera Terrell, Angelell Brown, Tarynes Grimes, Chris Breslin, Shana Currie, and Judith Boiani. Each member of the Independence team received an individual prize as part of Vincent receiving the 500th nomination.

The Programs team is excited to continue this initiative into 2023. However, the initiative will proceed under a new format. Please stay tuned for a Knect post detailing several changes to the Kindness Cards initiative for the year ahead. We hope to surpass 1,000 nominations by the end of next year.
